Message from the Head teacher about Larks Nursery Class at Lee Common CE School
I am very excited to inform the community that the governing body have made the decision to open a new seven place Nursery Class at Lee Common CE School for September 2018. Our new class will be for three and four year olds and will be known as Larks Class.
Mrs Blasor and I will be advertising for an excellent Early Years Educator to work with our new Nursery children later on this year. The current kitchen and cleaner’s cupboard will be adapted to provide a new Nursery classroom with toilet facilities for Larks Class.
We have the support of the local authority and the Oxford Diocese in providing this new service for our families. I have also already spoken to other local providers, including Leeside, about this decision of the governing body.
As part of the consultation process I will be holding a number of forums with current and perspective parents about our new Nursery Class. The first forum will be for perspective Nursery parents and current parents who have younger children who will be Nursery aged next September. The second forum will be for other current parents.
We are looking at being able to offer flexible packages to our families from morning only arrangements up to the full 30 hours.
We will be completing our own admissions arrangements for Larks Class and we will be opening the register of interest at 12 noon on Tuesday, 7 November 2017. The admissions policy for Larks Nursery Class is on the school website.
