At Lee Common CE School, we spend our Pupil Premium Funding enhancing the progress and wellbeing of children in receipt of this grant. We adopt a tiered approach as recommended by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).
Tier 1: Teaching
We allocate funds to staff training and support, when needed, in recognition of the significant impact that quality first teaching can have on the most disadvantaged pupils.
Tier 2: Targeted academic support
We believe that targeted support and intervention by a skilled practitioner, working closely with the class teachers and SENDCo is key to promoting good academic outcomes for all pupils.
Tier 3: Wider strategies
We are committed to supporting the emotional well being of pupils in order to address issues around behaviour, attendance and readiness to learn. We are also pleased to allocate funding to ensure all pupils can access extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
