Lee Common Church of England School

Sports Premium

At Lee Common School we believe young children need to be physically active every day and spend time learning outside in the fresh air as much as possible.   We are therefore always looking for ways to enrich and enhance our core curriculum with active, outdoor learning.

Like all schools we benefit from additional funding in the form of the Primary Sports Premium grant.  We aim to spend it wisely and in accordance with the latest guidance.  We plan our annual spend against 5 key indicators as follows:

  1. Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity.
  2. The profile of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement.
  3. Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of staff in teaching PE and Sport
  4. Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils
  5. Increased participation in competitive sport
