Lee Common Church of England School

Safeguarding

At Lee Common CE School, the physical and mental health, safety and well-being of every child is our priority and underpins everything we do. Children at our school will always be given the time and space they need to speak out; they will be heard and anything they tell us will be taken seriously.  Our overriding aim is for pupils to feel safe and happy so that they can thrive.

We work in close partnership with parents to achieve this aim. We also work closely with local safe-guarding partners including Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (BSCP) and we follow their guidance along with statutory policy and procedures.  Occasionally, concern about a child may mean we have to consult with these partners and other agencies, with parental permission, in order to access support for a child and their family. Very rarely, an overriding concern for a child's safety or well being will mean we make a referral to the local authority without seeking parental permission in advance.

If you would like to know more about our policy and procedures, please speak to the Headteacher or your child's class teacher.
